Rosa Louise McCauley Parks was born February 4, 1913. Over forty years later she would stand - or sit - her ground and begin a civil rights movement. Though she was not the first to do it, her disobedience on the bus that day would spark a Civil Rights Movement like none before. She has been called the mother of the freedom movement and the first lady of civil rights. Penguin 978-0-448-45442-9.
